This trout piece was created for my color theory class, using my personal palette as the foundation for its design. I pulled in deep blues, crisp whites, black, cool greens, and soft pinks—the colors I naturally gravitate toward—and used them to reimagine a trout in a more graphic, artisan, and stitched style. Each section of the fish becomes a study in contrast and balance by using dark, grounding tones paired with lighter, more playful accents, all held together with visible white stitching. The final piece blends outdoor inspiration with a palette that feels authentic to me, turning a familiar species into a reflection of my own aesthetic language.
